Fabulous Finds opens new store
Fabulous Finds is an upscale consignment store located in Longmont, but recently opened a new location, Fabulous Finds Fashion Outlet in Gunbarrel next to King Sooper’s. The new store aims to support women in the community who are in need, and benefits A Woman’s Work, fund for local women in need—a non-profit organization located in Longmont.
“This store is different,” owner Clarissa Edelen said of the new store. “People can bring in items to this store and donate to [A Woman’s Work] account. All these years, I’ve been donating the things that haven’t been sold to various charities, and thought we could be giving A Woman’s Work a lot more money.”
The new store will be donating a percentage of its proceeds to A Woman’s Work, and although they’re only donating 10 percent now, Edelen said she hopes to increase that after the store gets on its feet.
“It’s not a non-profit store, but a collaborative effort with A Woman’s Work,” Edelen explained. “In exchange, they have volunteers that come in and help when we need it.”
Edelen explained the store was supposed to open in January, but had to wait while the previous business found a new location. Although they have only been open a little over a week, Edelen said the store has received positive feedback from the community.
“We’re so thrilled to be able to have a retail space in Gunbarrel,” she stated. “The place is growing so quickly. We’re hoping it’s going to be good venture for A Woman’s Work and it helps us here too with our space constraints.”
Fabulous Finds labels itself as a “guilt-free retail therapy existence,” offering women’s clothing, accessories, furniture and home decor.
The Fabulous Finds store in Gunbarrel does not accept consignments, only donations. People wanting to consign for A Women’s Work can do so at the main location in Longmont, located at 600 S. Airport Rd.
The new Gunbarrel location is located at 6565 Gunpark Dr. It’s hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
